Greetings! My name is Winslow Robertson and I am a sixth-year Ph.D. Candidate at IESE Business School, University of Navarra, in the Managing People in Organizations Department. My research focuses on the role of ideology and management in all of its permutations, from political to racial. Furthermore, I also study how Chinese firms internationalize, usually in African countries, and vice versa. Both of these aspects of my research identity were informed by my work as a China-Africa management consultant, in which both politics and the state were intimately tied to Chinese firm activity, as well as living in Washington D.C. where American firms engaged in lobbying activities as part of their strategic behavior. As a scholar, I examine how ideology manifests itself in organizations and how that affects managers, owners, and workers all over the world.
